Since the election for the Integration Advisory Council in the Municipality of Bous had to be cancelled due to a lack of nominations, an Integration Officer is now to be appointed for a term of five years.
This position is voluntary.
An Integration Officer promotes equal coexistence between people with and without a migration background by developing local integration strategies, serving as a point of contact, and coordinating networks among the administration, volunteers, and the affected communities. They advise political bodies and the administration, and work to dismantle barriers to integration.
Who is eligible to be appointed as Integration Officer?
Residents:
| 1. | who are not German nationals within the meaning of Article 116, Paragraph 1 of the Basic Law; |
| 2. | who have acquired German citizenship through naturalization; |
| 3. | who are *Spätaussiedler* (ethnic German repatriates); or |
| 4. | who have acquired German citizenship pursuant to Section 4, Paragraph 3, Sentence 1 of the Nationality Act. |
