Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern in English
Experience the history and culture of Kaiserslautern in a lively way! The tour starts with a visit to the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards the tour continues through the underground passages. These tunnels are approx. 70 meters long. The passages are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating Kaiserslautern in ancient times. The tour starts at 11.15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting Point for the tour is the Tourist Information (address: Fruchthallstraße 14, 67655 Kaiserslautern). The participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Easter Egg Exhibition in Siegelbach
The Westpfalz Werkstätten, a state-approved institution for the vocational and social integration of people with disabilities, hosts its annual Easter egg exhibition in Siegelbach near Kaiserslautern. Exhibitors present paschal decoration items on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is € 1.50 per person. Approximately 20 hobby artists dye and create individual Easter eggs with traditional and modern techniques. Visitors can watch presentations and purchase that self-made “objects of art”. Children and their parents can craft and dye Easter eggs. Food and beverages as well as coffee and cakes are offered.
