With the arrival of spring, almond trees at the German Wine Street turn the landscape into a wonderful sea of pink blossoms. Various wine taverns in the village of Gimmeldingen invite all spring enthusiasts to enjoy the beautiful scenery with a glass of wine and delicious food early in March; also during the week. Visitors can view the blossoming of the almond trees within the next view weeks. This weekend the almond blossom festival in Gimmeldingen continues with the second round. Local vintners, associations and private individuals will be offering wine and beverages at about 20 stations. A large choice of Palatinate specialties, delicious desserts and refreshments will be provided. Additionally, visitors can look forward to handicrafts, typical Palatine products and activities for children. Again, this year the festival mile leads from Neubergstrasse via Peter-Koch-Strasse through to the Kurpfalzstrasse in the village center.
