At Easter it is going to be very colorful inside the Wolfstein limestone mine! Experience a magical underground color and light attraction. German guided tours through the illuminated tunnels are offered, printed information in English will be available as well. For the young visitors Easter Bunny hides colorful Easter eggs throughout the mine. This event takes place on Good Friday, on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Last entry is at 5 p.m. Sturdy shoes and warm clothing are recommended. Entrance fee is € 6 for adults, € 5 for youths and € 15.50 for families (2 adults and own children). On all three days registration is required! Groups and school classes can arrange individual appointments for an English guided tour. The regionally well-known “Potzberg Wildpark” hosts a fantastic bird of prey show daily at 3 p.m. An amusing program for the young visitors is offered from Good Friday until Easter Monday. The entertainment program includes an Easter egg hunt, an egg-and-spoon race and a sack race. Furthermore, children can look forward to a Harris´s hawk show taking place at noon. The feeding of the polar foxes and raccoons can be watched from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Children may run into the junior Easter Bunny, too. The wild park is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and is a great day trip for the whole family. Admission is € 10.50 for adults and € 7 for children (aged 4 to 16 year). Only cash payment - no credit cards accepted!

Saturday, April 8 - Monday, April 10:
Over the Easter weekend a medieval spectacle is held at Gelterswoog Lake in Kaiserslautern for the first time. The young and the old are invited to experience history first-hand, as the clocks will be turned back to the Middle Ages. The market features knight camps, craftsmen, merchants, and wizards. Performances of gleemen as well as medieval musicians with drums and bagpipes entertain the visitors. A fire show is presented on Saturday and Sunday evening. Great fun for children is guaranteed by several knights´ games, hand-operated carousel, wheel of fortune, archery, crossbow shooting and much more. Traders offer a wide range of goods for sale. Food and beverages are available, too. The medieval market takes place on Saturday from noon until 9 p.m.; on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Monday from noon until 6 p.m. Admission fee for adults is € 7 and for medieval dressed people as well as children up to 14 years is 4 €. The season opening of the Kaiserslautern Zoo traditionally takes place on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. On both days the family-friendly entertainment program starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Guided tours in German, that give the visitors an insight into the secrets of the zoo´s animal world, are offered free of charge. The young animals which can be fed by the visitors are one of the main attractions. The falconry presents a bird of prey demonstration. Furthermore, kids can look forward to a Punch-and-Judy show, a scavenger hunt, a bouncy castle, a carousel, and face painting. The Easter Bunny distributes Easter eggs to visitors. Coffee and cakes are offered, too. On Easter Monday a church service is held at 10.30 a.m. Admission fee is € 9 for adults and € 6 for kids from 4 to 17 years. The zoo team greets the adults and their children with a little welcome gift and wishes wonderful Easter holidays.
