Saturday, April 6 – Sunday, April 7:

25th Landgraves’ Festival in Pirmasens

The city of Pirmasens hosts a festival in commemoration of Landgrave Ludwig IX. Clocks will be turned back to the 18th century when Landgrave Ludwig IX ruled the town. A historical atmosphere will be created throughout the pedestrian area. Craftsmen such as potters, leather and clay workers, amber cutters and silversmiths demonstrate their skills. Merchants offer goods such as gemstones, honey wines, liqueurs, costumes, and furs. An entertainment program for children including a wheel of fortune, egg cracking, a hand-operated wooden Ferris wheel and many other games guarantee lots of fun. Performances of jugglers, dancers and musicians entertain the visitors. Traditional food and beverages are offered, too. The festival takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free! Stores open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m

Saturday, April 6 – Sunday, April 7:

Pottery Market in Homburg

The city of Homburg hosts a big pottery market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The market features a large variety of booths by exhibitors from all over Germany and the neighboring countries. A broad choice of ceramic items such as jewelry, art sculptures, everyday objects, garden decoration and Raku ware are offered. Visitors can watch presentations of arts and crafts and enjoy the market atmosphere. A broad range of food and beverages is available. Additionally, stores in the city will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Saturday, April 6:

English Guided Tour in Kaiserslautern

Experience history and culture of Kaiserslautern in a lively way! The tour starts with a visit of the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards the tour continues through the underground passages. These tunnels are approx. 70 meters long. The passages are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating Kaiserslautern in ancient times. The tour starts at 11.15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting Point for the tour is the Tourist Information (address: Fruchthallstrasse 14, 67655 Kaiserslautern). Participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Sunday, April 7:

Ramstein Spring Festival

The "Werbering Ramstein" (Ramstein Advertising Association) organizes a Spring Festival on Ramstein´s market square located between the Ramstein town hall and Congress Center Ramstein. Several vendors offer garden decoration, spring flowers, herbs, plants, and gift ideas. The municipal parks department of the city of Ramstein turns the market fountain into a beautifully decorated spring wreath. The event starts with the tapping of the beer keg at noon. Live music entertains the visitors. Admission is free! Stores in the city center are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
