Saturday, April 26 – Sunday, April 27:

German-American Friendship Walk

The Ramstein Roadrunners Club hosts its annual volksmarch in Miesenbach. Start and finish is the Miesenbach multi-purpose hall (Mehrzweckhalle). Participants have the choice between a trail distance of 5, 10, 16 and 21 kilometers (3.1, 6.2, 10 and 13 miles). Starting time is from 7 a.m. All hikers have to return to the starting point by 4 p.m. on Saturday and by 3 p.m. on Sunday. Participants will get a start card which is needed for receiving the IVV-stamp. Pre-registration is not required for individual walkers but recommended for hiking groups of more than 25 people. Outdoor Sports Opening Johanniskreuz

In cooperation with the Zentrum Pfälzerwald Touristik the House of Sustainability hosts a great outdoor event from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Families and individuals can look forward to many exciting join-in activities, music performances as well as culinary delights. Sports enthusiasts can test the latest outdoor trends, expand their knowledge about their favorite outdoor sport and put their skills to the proof with exercises. Amidst the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve, experts will teach visitors about nature, forestry, sustainability, and tourism in a playful way. Furthermore, a guided mountain bike tour and hiking tour are offered. Participation is free of charge. This year's special highlight: the Pfälzerwald Mountain Bike Park celebrates its 20th anniversary and will enrich this event with an enjoyable program. Sunday, April 27:

Donnersberg Wine Forum

The Donnersberg Wine Forum takes place for the 13th time this year and invites all wine lovers and connoisseurs to enjoy a culinary journey of discovery in the Zellertal region. Under the motto "One mountain - three wine-growing regions" 17 vintners from the Nahe, the Palatinate and the Rheinhessen region as well as two guest vintners will present their fantastic wine selection from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The wine tasting takes place at the winery “Bremer” in Niefernheim which is the perfect venue for such an event. Culinary dishes are provided. The participation fee of € 15 per person includes wine tasting and water at the wine stands.
