Castle Adventure Days (Burgerlebnistage)
The Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl is the perfect venue for the "Castle Adventure Days". Visitors are invited to experience history first-hand, as the clocks will be turned back to the Middle Ages. Knights´ camp, minstrels, craftsmanship, castle illumination and medieval music will bring the castle back to life. The entertainment program for young damsels and squires includes join-in activities, jester performances and a carousel. A falconer presents bird of prey shows. In commemoration of Knight Franz von Sickingen, a memorial service will be held on the anniversary of his death, on Sunday, May 7. Food and beverages are offered, too. The event starts on Friday from 6 p.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. On all days, admission fee for adults is 5 EUR. Children smaller than 1 meter (“under sword size”) have free admission.

Dubbeglas Culinary Hike in Wolfstein
The approx. 6.5 km (4 miles) long panorama trail offers a wonderful landscape and scenic views. Along the circular route, hikers have the opportunity to enjoy Palatinate specialties and wines. Culinary dishes and beverages are offered by several local clubs, restaurants, and vintners at 8 resting stations. Starting point and finish of the circular path is the town hall (resting area no. 1). The culinary hike is all about the Dubbe glass, the genuine Palatinate wine and spritzer glass with its indentations. Participants can purchase the Dubbeglas hiking kit including a shoulder bag, the Dubbe glass (0.25 l), a hiking map, a raffle ticket as well as two vouchers for a big and a small drink. At each station, hikers get their Dubbe glass filled with beverages or wine spritzers for only € 2.50. The purchase of the hiking kit is not mandatory for participating in the hike itself! The culinary hike takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. After the hike visitors are invited to join the Dubbeglas Party in the town center of Wolfstein where the hike ends. The regionally well-known party band Sergeant entertains the people on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Culinary Hiking Tour around Glan-Münchweiler
Put on your hiking boots and enjoy the panoramic views of the Glan Valley, the Donnersberg Mountain and the Remigiusberg Mountain! The popular culinary hiking tour organized by the Union Community Oberes Glantal celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Participants can decide between different trails and circular routes. Set your own walking pace and enjoy springtime! Even families with strollers and buggies, inline skaters or hikers who would like to avoid steep hills can participate strolling along the flat Glan-Blies bike trail. Culinary delights from the Palatinate region as well as beverages, coffee and cakes are offered along the well-signposted trails. Various restaurants, clubs and associations invite hikers to stop over and take a rest. An interesting event program is offered for the young and old. A tractor exhibition can be visited in the village of Fockenberg-Limberg. Recommended starting points are any of the following train stations: Niedermohr, Glan-Münchweiler, Rehweiler, Matzenbach and Theisbergstegen. Visitors can easily get to these villages by train departing from Ramstein downtown. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participation is free, a registration is not required. Gospel-Pop Oratorio in Waldmohr
The gospel choir SPIRIT´ N VOICES invites you to its gospel-pop oratorio named “Psalms - The Soul Sings”. It takes places at the Waldmohr Kulturhalle (cultural hall) at 5 p.m. The statements of the more than 2000 years old psalms are by no way simply stories of ancient times. But at any time, especially today, they are more up to date than ever. Longing - worries - fears - doubts, but also confidence - joy - overcoming and salvation, all this and more is in the psalms of the Bible. Conductor Harald Frego has composed 12 songs for this oratorio and arranged them for choir and band. With gospel, pop, ballads, soul, swing, blues and rock, these songs speak to an extraordinary and broad musical range. The lyrics were written by choir members themselves. They are based on psalms chosen by them, under the impressions of current events, and allow the audience a glimpse into the soul of people then as now. Top-class musicians accompany the choir with saxophone, flute, guitar, piano, bass and drums. The gospel-pop oratorio of the gospel choir SPIRIT´ N VOICES takes you on an exciting musical journey. Experience how your soul begins to sing and the lyrics convey a message that reaches the heart. Tickets are € 18 / discounted tickets are € 15.
