Culinary Wine Hike in Birkweiler
Birkweiler is a little and quaint village at the German Wine Street. A romantic trail of approx. 2 km (1.2 miles) leads through the vineyards, where hikers have a magnificent view. At 6 stopover points along the circular path participants can taste wines and enjoy culinary specialties offered by nine local vintners and caterers. The booths along the trail open from 2 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. on Sunday and Monday. Visitors can get to Birkweiler by train. Parking spaces will be signposted.

Moscheltal Adventure Day in Waldgrehweiler
The Moscheltal Adventure Day traditionally starts with the Pentecost church service at 10:15 a.m. The event´s focus is on the demonstration and exhibition of traditional craftsmanship. Visitors can look over the craftsmen´s shoulders presenting ancient handicraft such as turnery, basketwork, pottery, smithery and others. Traders offer a wide range of goods for sale, e. g. hand-crafted jewelry, hats and beanies, gift items, decorative articles, garden supplies, wood items and much more. Local associations provide coffee and cake, food, and cool beverages. A varied stage program, demonstrations, and join-in activities such as face painting, a forest quiz, fabric bag painting and games are provided too. Signposted parking spaces are located at the end of the village in the direction of Finkenbach-Gersweiler (within walking distance).

Spring Fest at Lichtenberg Castle in Thallichtenberg
The “Castle Spring” event at Lichtenberg Castle includes a flower and herb market, special exhibitions as well as join-in activities for children and adults. Guided tours in German are offered free of charge. Entrance to the museums is also free of charge – the museum of natural history GEOSKOP and the museum of local history at the Zehntscheune are in the premises of the castle. At the flower and herb market visitors can purchase goods and products such as tea, spices, cooking oils, vinegar, ham, bread, fruits, and vegetables as well as decoration items, garden plants, herbal books, ceramics, jewelry, toys and much more. Live music performances entertain the people. Regional dishes, beverages, coffee, and cake are available, too. The event takes place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Free admission!
