Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern in English
The certified tourist guide Ulli Heist offers a tour of Kaiserslautern with the motto: “Hidden Traces of K-Town's Brewery History”. During this tour you will hear about the history of the breweries in Kaiserslautern. You will see at least two former beer and ice cellars from the inside. Certainly, a beer tasting is included in the tour as well! Please wear sturdy shoes and bring along a flashlight! The tour starts at 5 p.m. and lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Kaiserslautern May Fair
The Kaiserslautern fair is the biggest folk festival in Western Palatinate. The fairground offers a large variety of rides for the whole family and allures many people to Kaiserslautern´s Messeplatz. Visitors can enjoy a huge fun mile featuring a roller coaster, a giant Ferris wheel, merry-go-rounds and many other fun rides. Cozy beer gardens and plenty of culinary delights invite you to linger. Numerous vendors provide candies, products of arts and crafts, spices, household articles and much more. The fair starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 23. The opening fireworks display illuminates the fairground at approx. 10 p.m. Stores open for Sunday shopping in the industrial area and Kaiserslautern city center on May 25 from 1 p. m. to 6 p. m. Wednesday, May 28, is a family day with reduced prices and special offers and activities. On the opening day, the fair opens from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays the opening hours are from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. All other weekdays the fair opens from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The closing fireworks display takes place at 10 p.m. on Monday evening, June 2.

Rheinland-Pfalz State Fair in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse
Each year the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz presents its offers and attractions with a great festival weekend in one city within the state. You might remember the 2015 state fair that took place in Ramstein with more than 200,000 visitors. In 2025 the city of Neustadt at the German Wine Street hosts this great festival. Neustadt is about an hour’s drive from Ramstein. Various programs at numerous stages throughout the city center with live music and shows as well as exhibitions and activities for the young and old await the visitors. The highlight of the event is the colorful festival parade on Friday at 6 p.m. & 8 p.m., on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. / 6 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. / 6:30 p.m. It is recommended to use the park & ride shuttle service from the designated parking lots to the city center, as the center of Neustadt will be closed to traffic during the event. Car-free Sunday between Landstuhl and Steinalben
Under the motto “Leave your car, take your bike!” a trail of approx. 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) belongs solely to the cyclists on this Sunday. The country road L363 between Landstuhl and Steinalben will be closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The official opening takes place in Queidersbach at 10 a.m. The scenic route leads from Landstuhl Nanstein Castle through villages like Bann, Queidersbach, Linden, Horbach and ends in Steinalben. An impressive landscape and great fun for the whole family is guaranteed all along the way. Food and beverages, live music as well as an interesting entertainment program including special activities for children will be offered.
