Bad Dürkheim City Festival

The Bad Dürkheim city festival offers a great entertainment program in the town center. Five days long, various bands of different genres guarantee party mood on two stages. There is plenty to experience for the little guests: A duck race, adventurous theater performances, creative crafting sessions, musical interludes and exciting join-in activities at the museum are great fun. Numerous wineries and restaurants provide culinary dishes, wines, and beverages. Stores open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The festival starts on Wednesday at 6 p.m., on Thursday at 11 a.m., on Friday at 3 p.m., on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., and on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Rose and Garden Market at Rose Garden Zweibrücken

The landmark of the city of Zweibrücken is its rose garden with more than 45,000 roses blooming there. Visitors can enjoy a nice walk through the rose garden including different areas, a pond, and a playground. It is the perfect venue for the market. About 70 exhibitors present their individual gift ideas and a wide range of products. Garden lovers have a large choice of plants, herbs, garden furniture and accessories. Food and beverages are available too. Admission is € 5.50 for adults and € 2 for children from 6 to 17 years; children younger than 6 years have free admission. Kaiserslautern May Fair

The Kaiserslautern fair is the biggest folk festival in Western Palatinate. The fairground offers a large variety of rides for the whole family and allures many people to Kaiserslautern´s Messeplatz. Visitors can enjoy a huge fun mile featuring a roller coaster, a giant Ferris wheel, merry-go-rounds and many other fun rides. Cozy beer gardens and plenty of culinary delights invite you to linger. Numerous vendors provide candies, products of arts and crafts, spices, household articles and much more. Wednesday, May 28, is a family day with reduced prices and special offers and activities. Saturdays the opening hours are from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. All other weekdays the fair opens from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The closing fireworks display takes place at 10 p.m. on Monday evening, June 2.
