70th Horse Show in Miesau
Each year on Pentecost weekend the Bruchmühlbach-Miesau riding club hosts the popular horse show on its premises in Miesau. Spectators can look forward to 30 competitions in the disciplines of dressage and show jumping on Saturday and Sunday. From reining competition for the young riders to challenging competitions at medium level (M), there is something for every equestrian enthusiast. A special highlight is scheduled for Sunday evening: the popular baroque horse freestyle fascinates with elegance and harmony before the legendary torchlight jumping begins at nightfall. Culinary delights, beverages as well as coffee and cake are provided on both days. The organizers cordially invite you to experience two days full of equestrian sport, cheerful atmosphere, and tradition!

Wine Hike in Grünstadt-Sausenheim
The wine hike in Grünstadt-Sausenheim counts among the best-known and most popular wine hikes along the northern part of the German Wine Street. It traditionally takes place on the first weekend in June. The loop trail of approx. 5.5 km (3.4 miles) leads through the vineyards and offers a fabulous panoramic view. Along the hiking trail, participants can treat themselves to regional dishes and selected wines provided at 8 stations. Local wineries spoil the guests with specialties such as Palatinate yeast dumplings, tarte flambée, spit roast, asparagus salad, flame-grilled salmon, coffee, cakes and much more. Visitors who purchase a wine tasting pass can taste one wine of their choice at each station. The wine tasting pass includes a souvenir glass and is available for € 22 at any of the stopover points. The purchase of a wine pass is not mandatory for participation in the hike! On both days of the event, a shuttle bus will run between Grünstadt train station and the hiking trail from 9:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. every half an hour. The event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Culinary Wine Hike in Birkweiler
Birkweiler is a little and quaint village at the German Wine Street. A romantic trail of approx. 2 km (1.2 miles) leads through the vineyards, where hikers have a magnificent view. At 6 stopover points along the circular path participants can taste wines and enjoy culinary specialties offered by nine local vintners and caterers. The booths along the trail open from 2 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. on Sunday and Monday. Visitors can get to Birkweiler by train. Parking spaces will be signposted.
