This weekend a big fair is held in celebration of the German American friendship. The venue is John-F.-Kennedy-Platz in the center of Ramstein. Numerous stands offer a large variety of culinary specialties and beverages from both countries. For three days, live music is presented on an open-air stage. On Friday the entertainment program starts at 6 p.m. with the popular ensemble Touch 'n Go of the USAFE band. From 8 p.m. the party band CHANGES continues with pop, rock, funk, and soul music. On Saturday the jazz ensemble Free Grove of the U. S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus performs at 6 p. m. The band Frantic classic Rock continues with rock music at 8 p.m. On Sunday children can look forward to a bouncy castle. The country band Country To Go performs on stage from 2 p.m. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission! The event is sponsored by the state program "Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz! Our Neighbors from the USA (WiR!)".

Explore the town center of Ramstein and hear about the historic development of the former farming village into a modern and international city. You will get to see traces of the past and the oldest buildings in town. Besides that, the tour provides lots of information about present urban development and leisure activities. The event is family-friendly and free of charge! Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to explore on foot. As a goody a cool drink and snack will be offered at the end of the tour at the German American Friendship Festival. The event with live music by the jazz ensemble "Free Grove“ of the United States Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus as well as the rock band "Frantic" takes place at John-F.-Kennedy-Square in the center of Ramstein. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the festival atmosphere with free admission!
The “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz” state program is the sponsor of the tour. It will be carried out by the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information center of the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach. The tour starts at 4 p.m.

Get on the rustic, horse-drawn covered wagon, and travel back in time through the city of Otterberg. The tour combines tradition and the modern age. With virtual reality glasses you immerse yourself in days gone by: from the time of the monastery in 1254 to the Walloon town in 1615. Imagine the wind in your face, feel the jerking of the wagon, hear the clattering of the horses' hooves, and feel completely transported back to the past. After the carriage ride, a visit to the stately Otterberg Abbey Church awaits you as part of an English guided tour. Here you learn about the exciting history of the church, and you experience the incomparable atmosphere live, no longer virtually but the real present-day occurrences. The “Time Travel” tour starts at 4:30 p. m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Desired dates for groups of 9 to max. 12 people can be arranged upon request.
