Friday, June 14 - Sunday, June 16:

Seewoog Fest in Miesenbach

The Miesenbach Entertainment Club „UVM“ cordially invites you and your family to its annual festival at Seewoog Lake recreation area. The festival starts on Friday at 5 p.m. The party band „FULLHOUSE“ presents breathtaking voices, powerful grooves, virtuoso solos and a rousing show from 7 p.m. The opening match of UEFA EURO 2024 in Munich with the German soccer team playing Scotland will be broadcasted from 9 p.m. On Saturday the event starts at 5 p.m. The tapping of the beer keg is at 7:30 p.m. The cover band „UNDERCOVER“ entertains the audience from 9 p.m. The band´s repertoire includes rock, pop and soul music. On Sunday the fest starts with a morning get-together at 10.30 a.m. Great entertainment is guaranteed by the duo „Hoselatz“. They perform German Schlager and folk music as well as rock and pop songs. Visitors can look forward to dance performances, a carousel as well as fun and action for the whole family. Delicious food and beverages are available throughout the festival weekend. Free admission on all three days!

Saturday, June 15 - Monday, June 17:

Otterberg Spring Festival

Otterberg´s spring festival has been celebrated every two years since the middle of the 18th century. The historic festival is held in front of the monumental abbey church, surrounded by half-timbered houses of the 17th and 18th century. It starts with the coronation of the spring queen accompanied by musical entertainment by the Otterberg music club “Harmonie” at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Afterwards visitors are invited to an enjoyable evening with live music by “Sergeant”, a regionally well-known band performing from 8.30 p.m. The highlight of the event is the historic and colorful parade leading along the main street at 1 p.m. on Sunday. More than 1,000 participants take part. After the parade the festival continues with a social gathering in the woods at “Waldfestplatz”, which is located approx. 3 kilometers outside the boundaries of the town. Visitors can either walk to that place or take the free shuttle bus that operates every half an hour. A music program, food and beverages are provided from 3 p.m. Children can enjoy pony riding. On Monday the spring fest starts with a march leading to “Waldfestplatz” in the woods. Meeting point is the city hall (Hauptstraße 27, 67697 Otterberg) at 2 p.m. All guests are invited to join in the walk and celebrate ones again. Brass music is presented. The festival ends at 6:30 p.m. with a closing procession from the woods back to town.

Saturday, June 15:

Wine Tasting in the Limestone Mine of Wolfstein

Spend a fantastic time with exquisite wines in extraordinary surroundings, between bizarre rocks. It is a journey with a lot of interesting facts about wine, grape varieties, and the hard miner's work. A pleasure for all senses! During the opening season of the limestone mine, wine tours with registration are offered every 3rd Saturday of the month. The event takes place from 6.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. Participation fee is € 27 per person. The price includes a guided tour of the mine, an expertly conducted underground wine tasting and snacks. Groups can arrange individual appointments for an English guided tour plus wine tasting. Sunday, June 16:

Culinary Hiking Tour around Heimkirchen

The circular path of 5.5 km (3.4 miles) leading through the fields and green meadows of Heimkirchen offers wonderful views. Along the signposted trail, beverages and a large variety of culinary specialties are provided at 8 resting places. Along the trail hikers can visit the Farm Museum at Holbornerhof, where ancient equipment and tools give a great insight into what the farmers´ lives looked like. Another attraction that people can see along the route is the sundial consisting of 12 obelisks. Meet your friends or relatives and explore the scenic landscape while enjoying the Palatinate cuisine. The hike takes place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Free participation!
