Friday, June 13 – Sunday, June 15:
The Miesenbach Entertainment Club “UVM” cordially invites you and your family to its annual festival at Seewoog Lake recreation area. The festival starts on Friday at 6 p.m. The rock band “CHAOTIC” performs from 9 p.m. On Saturday the event starts at 3 p.m. with live DJ from radio station “Antenne K´lautern”. The tapping of the beer keg takes place at 7:30 p.m. The cover band “Beauties & The Beast” entertains the audience from 9 p.m. The band´s repertoire includes rock, German rock and pop music. On Sunday the fest starts with a morning get-together at 10.30 a.m. Great entertainment is guaranteed by the band “XXL-STEIRER”. They perform golden oldies, German Schlager, folk music as well as rock and pop songs. Family activities are provided from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event ends at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday, June 14 – Sunday, June 15:
The Castle Ruin of Moschellandsburg is the perfect venue for the medieval market which is held for the 24th time. The young and the old are invited to experience an authentic reenactment of the Middle Ages. The market features Viking camps, craftsmen, musicians, knights and jugglers. Traders offer a wide range of goods for sale. Visitors can look over the craftsmen´s shoulder presenting ancient handicraft. Show fights of armed warriors and an archery tournament guarantee great fun for the whole family. Children can participate in a tricky riddle. On Saturday a spectacular fire show entertains the visitors at nightfall (approx. 9:30 p.m.). Medieval food and beverages are available. Opening hours of the medieval market are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission fee for medieval dressed people and children from the age of 14 is 7 € (weekend ticket € 12). Adults pay € 10 (weekend ticket € 16). Saturday, June 14:
Experience history and culture of Kaiserslautern in a lively way! The tour starts with a visit of the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards the tour continues through the underground passages. These tunnels are approx. 70 meters long. The passages are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating Kaiserslautern in ancient times. The tour starts at 11.15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Sunday, June 15:
The certified tourist guide Ulli Heist offers a tour around Nanstein Castle with the motto: “The Last Knight Franz von Sickingen and Nanstein Castle”. Learn about more than 500 years of history of the castle and hear stories about the last knight Franz von Sickingen. In good weather, visitors have a great view, and they can get some additional information about the city of Landstuhl in the valley. Registration is not required. The tour starts at 10 a.m. and takes approximately 90 minutes. The participation fee is € 5. In addition to that, the admission for the castle must be paid at the castle entrance. Meeting point for the tour is the cannon tower of the castle next to the parking lot.

Sunday, June 15:
The circular path of 5.5 km (3.4 miles) leading through the fields and green meadows of Heimkirchen offers wonderful views. Along the signposted trail, beverages and a large variety of local culinary specialties are provided at 8 resting places. Along the trail hikers can visit the Farm Museum at Holbornerhof, where ancient equipment and tools give a great insight into what the farmers´ lives looked like. Another attraction that people can see along the route is the sundial consisting of 12 obelisks. Face painting for children is offered at resting place number 4. Meet your friends or relatives and explore the scenic landscape while enjoying the Palatinate cuisine. The hike takes place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Free participation!
