From July 21 until August 25 every Friday from 7 p.m. the “Ramstein Summer Nights” take place on an open-air stage at Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night has the focus on a certain country with traditional music, food and drinks. The series of the “Ramstein Summer Nights” starts with a "Cuban Night" on Friday, July 21. The band “CUBAN AFFAIRS” entertains the audience with popular rumba, mambo and salsa rhythms including songs by "Buena Vista Social Club". Throughout the summer months the Landstuhl Stadthalle hosts an event series titled “Summer in the City” with live music performances of different live bands. The events take place on an open-air stage at the Stadthalle on Saturday evenings. This Saturday the band “The Horse” consisting of five local musicians performs on stage. Admittance is at 6 p.m. The band performs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. If the weather is bad, the event will take place inside the Stadthalle. Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23:
Trifels Castle is known for its famous prisoner Richard the Lionheart. This weekend there will be plenty of things to explore at the castle, especially for young visitors. A blacksmith sets up his forge and anvil and invites children and adults to help him forge and work the metal. Fine leather bracelets and charms can be made under the expert guidance of a leather worker and then individually embossed with letters and patterns. A soap workshop will be offered as well. Food and drinks will be available. On both days the duo “Wormez” will entertain guests with medieval music between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Event hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors just pay the regular admission fee to the castle to participate (adults € 4.50, children € 2.50, family ticket € 9).
