Friday, July 18:

Ramstein Summer Nights – Palatinate Night

From July 4 until August 15 every Friday the Ramstein Summer Nights take place on an open-air stage in front of Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night focuses on a certain country with traditional music, food and drinks. The series of the Ramstein Summer Nights continues with the "Palatinate Night" on Friday, July 18. The local band "DUBBEGLAS-BRIEDER” entertains the audience with songs in Palatinate dialect. Specialties from the Palatinate region are offered by the restaurant “Die Bühne”. The Ramstein Summer Nights start at 7:30 p.m. and there are a few non-reservable seats and bar tables available. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein. Free admission!

Friday, July 18 – Monday, July 21:

City Wall & Wine Festival in Freinsheim

The city wall festival in Freinsheim is held in the historic city center, which is surrounded by the medieval city wall dating back to the 15th century. The 1.3 km long city wall is among the biggest and most beautiful fortifications in the Palatinate region. You are invited to stroll through the baroque city center along its narrow alleys and tiny romantic squares. About 19 stands provide delicious food and local wines. Street musicians entertain the visitors. The festival takes place from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Friday, Saturday from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m., Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until midnight and Monday from 4 p.m. until midnight. Stores are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Using public transportation is recommended, since the center of the village (old town) is closed to traffic, parking lots are signposted.

Monday, July 21:

Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery in English

The guided tour of the Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery, including the old Jewish Cemetery, gives an insight into Kaiserslautern's cemetery culture and history. The round tour leads to splendid tombstones and important public figures in Kaiserslautern's town history. Male visitors are asked to bring some headwear. The tour will take place even in light rain. If the weather conditions are too bad, the tour will be cancelled. The tour starts at 2 p.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting point for the tour is at the Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery at the blessing hall next to the main entrance (address: Donnersbergstrasse 74, 67657 Kaiserslautern). Participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Prior registration is required.
