Pasión de Buena Vista – Stage Show – at Congress Center Ramstein
Hot rhythms, thrilling dances, exotic beauties and unforgettable melodies take you on a journey through exciting Cuban nights! Experience the unspoiled Cuban joy of life and discover the terrific voices of Cuba. Combined with the exceptional “Buena Vista Band“ and the impressive dance formation “El Grupo de Bailar“ as well as more than 150 tailor-made costumes, the show “Pasión de Buena Vista“ presents a unique stage performance that leads you along the streets of the Caribbean island. Carnival Brazil at Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern
The year 2024 holds special significance for both the vast country of Brazil and the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. Both regions are celebrating "200 years of German immigration to Brazil," particularly from the Palatinate and Hunsrück to southern Brazil. To mark this occasion, the Department of Culture of the City of Kaiserslautern, in collaboration with the city museum (Theodor-Zink-Museum|Wadgasserhof), is organizing a series of events, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and readings. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the district associations "Bezirksverband Pfalz" and "Zukunfts-Region Westpfalz", and in collaboration with "Centro Cultural do Brasil em Lautern", the Brazilian Cultural Association.
The kickoff event is a "genuine" Brazilian carnival on January 19, 2024, at the Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern, featuring Brazilian samba dancers, capoeira performers, musicians, and singer Vando Oliveira from Rio de Janeiro. There will be a costume contest as well as a variety of themed drinks and food. New Year´s Concert at Congress Center Ramstein
The Kaiserslautern County Symphony Orchestra presents its 9th New Year´s Concert. Once again the orchestra, which is renowned beyond the region's borders, welcomes the year 2024 in Ramstein with lively melodies. Under the direction of Alexander Mayer the ensemble entertains the audience with well-known works by Johann Strauss (the waltz sequence "1001 Nights") and Franz von Suppè ("A Morning, a Noon and an Evening in Vienna") as well as South American rhythms by Alberto Ginastera ("Estancia").
