Ramstein Summer Nights – Irish Night
From July 12 until August 23 every Friday from 7:30 p.m. the Ramstein Summer Nights take place on an open-air stage in front of Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night has the focus on a certain country with traditional music, food and drinks. The series of the Ramstein Summer Nights continues with the "Irish Night" on Friday, August 2. The band "DOUBLE SHOT” entertains the audience with Irish folk music. Irish specialties are offered. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein. Free admission!

Shoemaker´s Festival in Pirmasens
For more than 200 years Pirmasens has been the hometown of footwear and manufacturing of footwear. Over 100 shoe factories were once located there. Even today, many shoe stores invite people to shop and stroll around. The Shoemaker´s Festival, the so-called Schlabbeflicker Festival in Palatinate dialect, is a great opportunity to combine the visit to Pirmasens with shopping. The event offers worth seeing art performances, join-in activities and live music on three spots in the town center. Numerous bands, duos, soloists, DJs and a dancing group will put the visitors into the right mood. A children´s entertainment program including face painting, bouncy castle, handicraft work etc. is offered along Bahnhofstrasse. A fireworks display takes place on Saturday at 10:45 p.m. The official opening is on Friday at 7.30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday the festival starts already at 11 a.m. Stores open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The shoe museum can be visited from Tuesday through Sunday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

English Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern
Experience history and culture of Kaiserslautern in a lively way! The tour starts with a visit of the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held. Afterwards the tour continues through the underground passages. These tunnels are approx. 70 meters long. The passages are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating Kaiserslautern in ancient times. The tour starts at 11.15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting Point for the tour is the Tourist Information (address: Fruchthallstrasse 14, 67655 Kaiserslautern). Participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Prior registration is required. Family Bike Day “Pfälzer Bergland”

The main routes of the family bike day lead through the Lautertal valley and along the Odenbachtal cycle path. Both routes offer breathtaking scenery and are ideal for leisurely family outings. The event is more than just a bike tour. At several points along the route, participants can expect refreshment stations with regional specialties, music and entertainment for the young and the old. There are numerous opportunities for breaks and picnics so that you can enjoy the day to the full and unwind.
