Friday, July 31:

Ramstein Summer Nights – Greek Night

From June 26 until August 7 every Friday the Ramstein Summer Nights take place on an open-air stage in front of Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night has the focus on a certain country with traditional music, food, and drinks. The series of the Ramstein Summer Nights continues with a "Greek Night" on Friday, July 31. Live music by the band “Mikri Kompania” entertains the audience. The program includes the performances of a Greek dancing group. Specialties from the Palatinate region are offered by the restaurant “Die Bühne”. The Ramstein Summer Nights start at 7:30 p.m. and there are a few non-reservable seats and bar tables available. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein. Free admission!

Saturday, August 1:

Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern in English

Experience the history and culture of Kaiserslautern in a lively way! The tour starts with a visit to the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards the tour continues through the underground passages. These tunnels are approx. 70 meters long. The passages are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating Kaiserslautern in ancient times. The tour starts at 11:15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting point for the tour is the Tourist Information (address: Fruchthallstrasse 14, 67655 Kaiserslautern). The participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Saturday, August 1:

“Time Travel” – English Tour in Otterberg

Get on the rustic, horse-drawn covered wagon, and travel back in time through the scenic city of Otterberg. The tour combines tradition and the modern age. With virtual reality glasses you immerse yourself in days gone by: from the time of the monastery in 1254 to the Walloon town in 1615. Imagine the wind in your face, feel the jerking of the wagon, hear the clattering of the horses' hooves, and feel completely transported back to the past. After the carriage ride, a visit to the stately Otterberg Abbey Church awaits you as part of an English guided tour. Here you learn about the exciting history of the church, and you experience the incomparable atmosphere live, no longer virtually but the real present-day occurrences. The “Time Travel” tour starts at 2:30 p.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Desired dates for groups of 8 people and more can be arranged upon request. Friday, August 7:

Guided City Tour of Ramstein in English

Explore the town center of Ramstein and hear about the historic development of the former farming village into a modern and international city. You will get to see traces of the past and the oldest buildings in town. Besides that, the tour provides lots of information about present urban development and leisure activities. The event is family-friendly and free of charge! Please wear comfortable shoes and be up to explore the city walking. As a goody a cool drink and snack will be offered at the end of the tour at the Ramstein Summer Night Event. This evening a "Jamaican Night" with live music by the Bob Marley tribute band Nyabinghi Roots Rock Reggae takes place in the outside area of the Congress Center Ramstein. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the festival atmosphere with free admission!

The “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz” state program is the sponsor of the tour. It will be carried out by the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information center of the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach.
