Ramstein Summer Nights – Cuban Night

Until August 23 every Friday from 7:30 p.m. the Ramstein Summer Nights take place on an open-air stage in front of Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night has the focus on a certain country with traditional music, food and drinks. The series of the Ramstein Summer Nights continues with the "Cuban Night" on Friday, August 9. The band "CUBAN AFFAIRS” entertains the audience with popular rumba, mambo and salsa rhythms including songs by "Buena Vista Social Club". Cuban specialties are offered by the restaurant “Die Bühne-Backstage”. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein. Free admission!

Wine Event in Landstuhl

Together with the association “Fördergemeinschaft Sickingenstadt Landstuhl e.V.” the wine bar “Cuvée Weinbar & Vinothek” hosts a wine event in the town center of Landstuhl. The scenic old market square of Landstuhl turns into a beautiful wine village and creates a paradise for wine lovers, gourmets and music fans. Visitors can look forward to an entertaining live music program. A wide range of wines from selected vintners, refreshing cocktails and exquisite champagnes can be purchased. Wine tastings are offered on Saturday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Palatinate specialties, grilled food, pizza, crêpes and more are available too. The illumination in the evenings creates a cozy atmosphere. The event starts on Friday at 6 p.m., on Saturday at 3 p.m. and on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Romantic Wine Festival in Deidesheim

Deidesheim hosts one of the most popular wine festivals at the German Wine Street. Annually on the 2nd and 3rd weekend of August, culture, art and wine-related delights take center stage in the picturesque town. Numerous vintners and restaurants offer a great selection of wines and local dishes. Visitors have the opportunity to stop by and linger at approximately 30 booths along the wine alley, the so-called “Weingass”. Good mood is guaranteed by live musical entertainment. The festival features a little fairground including a Ferris wheel. Galleries, cafés, restaurants, and stores invite the visitors to stroll through the romantic alleys and squares of Deidesheim. Using public transportation is recommended. Opening hours: Fri from 5 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., Sat from 4 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., Sun from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Mon/Tue from 5 p.m. until midnight.

“Time Travel“ – English Tour in Otterberg

Get on the rustic, horse-drawn covered wagon, and travel back in time through the city of Otterberg. The tour combines tradition and modern age. With virtual reality glasses you immerse yourself in days gone by: from the time of the monastery in 1254 to the Walloon town in 1615. Imagine the wind in your face, feel the jerking of the wagon, hear the clattering of the horses' hooves, and feel completely transported back to the past. After the carriage ride, a visit to the stately Otterberg Abbey Church awaits you as part of an English guided tour. Here you learn about the exciting history of the church, and you experience the incomparable atmosphere, live, no longer virtually but the real present-day occurrences. The “Time Travel” tour takes approx. 1.5 hours. It starts at 4:30 p.m. Participation fee is € 45 for adults and € 40 for children and students. Dance week

The Ramstein Dancesport Club offers a „Dance week“ in the holiday program with hip hop, breaking, Latin etc. If you join in, you'll get the great 24 dance T-shirt! For all groups you don't have to be able to speak German, but you should bring a good mood and clean shoes with light soles for the dance floor. Sunday, August 18th at 2 p.m.: “JustDance” competition; Tuesday, August 20th at 3:00 p.m.:

“Hip Hop” for ages 6 and up; Tuesday, August 20th at 4:30 p.m.:

“Hip Hop” for ages 11 and up; Wednesday, August 21st at 3:00 p.m.:

“Children’s Dancing” 4 to 6 years; Thursday, August 22nd at 3:30 p.m.: “Breaking / Breakdance” for ages 8 and up; Thursday, August 22nd at 5:00 p.m.: “Latin dancing” for ages 8 and up; Friday, August 23rd at 3:00 p.m.: “Hip Hop” for ages 6 and up, Friday, August 23rd at 4:30 p.m.: “Hip Hop” for ages 11 and up.

Only those who register at Tanz-Lothar@gmx.de can safely take part - as long as there is enough space and T-shirts!
