Friday, August 15:

Ramstein Summer Nights – Caribbean Night

From July 4 until August 15, every Friday the Ramstein Summer Nights take place on an open-air stage in front of Congress Center Ramstein. Each theme night has the focus on a certain country with traditional music, food, and drinks. The series of the Ramstein Summer Nights ends with a "Caribbean Night" on Friday, August 15. With reggae and soca music, the band "RIDDIM POSSE” creates a beach holiday feeling. Caribbean specialties are offered by the restaurant “Die Bühne”. The Ramstein Summer Nights start at 7:30 p.m., and there are a few non-reservable seats and bar tables available. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein. Free admission!

Friday, August 15 – Sunday, August 17:

Wine Village in Weilerbach

In cooperation with the Weilerbach soccer club, the town of Weilerbach hosts its popular wine village event this weekend. Visitors can enjoy musical entertainment as well as excellent wines offered by several vintners from the German Wine Street. A large variety of culinary specialties such as spit roast (Idar-Oberstein-style), bratwurst, burgers (Palatinate-style), pizza, potato sticks, candy, and much more are available. The official opening by the wine queen is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. Good mood is guaranteed by live music. “DJ XTREM” entertains the visitors from 8 p.m. On Saturday, solo singer “Mario Gilcher” performs from 8 p.m. On Sunday, “KINDRED SOUND” plays music from 2 p.m. The opening hours of the wine village are Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. until midnight, and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free!

Saturday, August 16:

“Summer in the City” at Landstuhl Stadthalle

Throughout the summer months, the civic center “Stadthalle” hosts an event series titled “Summer in the City” with a live music program of different bands. The events take place on Saturday evenings. The event series continues with the performance of the band “Obsession”. Its repertoire is full of unique interpretations of hits by classic and contemporary rock and pop icons. The venue is an open-air stage in front of “Stadthalle.” In case of bad weather, the event will take place inside “Stadthalle.” Admittance is at 6 p.m. The music begins at 7 p.m. Come by and enjoy a cheerful atmosphere. Free admission!

Sunday, August 17:

German American Friendship Festival in Schrollbach

The village of Schrollbach hosts a German American Friendship Festival on the occasion of its church fair, the so called “Kerwe”. The event takes place at the sports ground of the village and features a varied program including live music, food and drinks. The program starts at 11.30 a.m. with an ecumenical church service. For lunch German rolled roast and and Mexican specialties are available from 12 p.m. The so called “Kerweredd” – a funny speech in Palatinate dialect dealing with the village happenings of the past months, is held at 2 p.m. A performance of the US Army Jazz Band "Rhine River Ramblers" is sheduled for 2:30 p.m. Great entertainment is guaranteed with the performance of the band “Country To Go” at 4 p.m. Visitors can participate in various games like cornhole, beer pong, tug of war and horseshoes. Free admission. Come along, have fun, and celebrate with the locals!
