Wine Village in Weilerbach

The Weilerbach soccer club hosts its popular wine village event this weekend. Visitors can enjoy musical entertainment as well as excellent wines. A wide variety of culinary specialties such as grilled food, Palatinate-style burgers, pizza, potato sticks, candy and much more is available. A good mood is guaranteed by live music. The official opening takes place on Friday at 6 p. m. Afterwards, “DJ Tony/B” entertains the visitors. The acoustic band “Dressinger Rock” plays on Saturday from 8 p.m. Solo singer “Luigi Botta” performs on Sunday from 2 p.m. Opening hours of the wine village: Friday from 6 p.m. until midnight / Saturday from 5 p.m. until midnight and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Admission free!

Saturday, August 15:

Gourmet and Arts Market in Frankenthal

Gardening enthusiasts as well as lovers of select arts and delicious specialties are cordially invited to stroll around and spend an exciting day in inspiring surroundings. Approximately 40 exhibitors present high-quality arts and a wide range of goods such as wood sculptures, acrylic paintings, ceramics, home decoration, jewelry, pesto, honey, liqueurs, wine, cocktails, and much more. Along the Street Food Mile visitors can treat themselves to some culinary delights. Musical entertainment is provided from 2 p.m. A child program is offered from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. The charming market is held in the garden of the art museum (Kunsthaus Frankenthal) from noon until 7 p.m. The art museum presents a special exhibition that can be visited too. Free admission!

Garden Market in Maikammer

Located amid the vineyards of the Southern Wine Street, the village of Maikammer opens its streets and squares for a weekend entirely dedicated to garden culture. Visitors can look forward to two inspiring days and a feast for the senses. The market features a great variety of plants, creative designs, regional delights, and exchanges with experts. The event is held throughout the village center on both days from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Gardening enthusiasts and connoisseurs are invited to linger and enjoy the Palatinate hospitality. Sunday, August 16:

German American Friendship Festival in Schrollbach

The village of Schrollbach invites all its American friends, families and neighbors to the German American Friendship Festival on Sunday, August 16. The festival is taking place on the occasion of the church fair of the village, the so-called “Kerwe”. The event takes place at the sports ground of Schrollbach and starts at noon. Come and enjoy a great day of German American friendship, live music, country line dancing, traditional German Kerwe atmosphere, food, drinks and delicious tacos. The “Kerweredd” – a funny speech in Palatinate dialect dealing with the village happenings of the past months, is held at approx. 2 p.m. The organizers are especially excited to welcome FREE GROOVE – U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus – and Tom Mac & Friends for live music entertainment. For the village of Schrollbach, this day is about more than just celebrating – it’s about bringing the German and American communities together, meeting new people and enjoying a great time as friends.
