Tuesday, August 18:

“Summer Evenings” in Kaiserslautern

From June 9 until September 15 the event series “Summer Evenings” takes place every other Tuesday. Depending on the date, the event will be held at one of the seven selected venues in downtown Kaiserslautern from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Look forward to cool drinks and laid-back beats. Over the course of eight evenings, various artists and bands put the audience into a good mood. Grab one of the available beach chairs or enjoy the music from one of the nearby restaurants. The event series continues with the cover band “Acoustic Fight” performing rock, reggae and pop music. The band’s repertoire includes songs by “The Police”, “Bob Marley”, “Led Zeppelin” and others. Everyone is welcome. Admission free! Next date: September 1

Saturday, August 22:

Open House at the Landstuhl Road Maintenance Depot

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Landstuhl Road Maintenance Depot is holding an open day on Saturday, August 22. A varied program for all ages will be offered. Various types of road maintenance vehicles are presented in a large exhibition. Visitors can get a glimpse into the different professions working at the facility and test their skills at several interactive stations. The program for kids includes glitter tattoos, a balloon artist, a pedal car parkour and a riddle questionnaire with great prizes to win. There will be live musical entertainment by the Hauptstuhl Music Association. Food and drinks are available as well. Event hours are from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everybody is welcome!

Friday, August 21 - Sunday, August 23:

Baumholder Old Town Festival

From August 21 to 23, 2026, Baumholder’s Old Town will once again transform into a lively festival zone featuring live music, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. The festivities kick off on Friday at 6 p.m. with the traditional keg tapping. Live musical entertainment will be offered on two stages, Stage 1 located on the Marktplatz, Stage 2 located in Poststrasse. Event hours on Friday and Saturday are from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. The fairground open Friday to Sunday also offers plenty to enjoy, featuring bumper cars, a children's carousel, a shooting gallery, a duck-fishing game, and dart-throwing, as well as stalls selling sweets and slushies. Guests can also look forward to a wide range of culinary delights. Sunday, August 23, is family day. In addition to the funfair, children and families can look forward to a variety of other attractions. The program on Sunday starts at 11 a.m. with a church service. Coffee and cake will also be served from 12 p.m. The musical entertainment continues at 2 p.m. on Stage 1, while DJ Mike invites everyone to video karaoke on Stage 2. Ample free parking is available throughout the city area. Free admission. Enjoy the festival weekend in Baumholder!
