US Americans and Germans have been living together in the Palatinate for more than 70 years. But how does one actually prepare for such a coexistence? The US military members stationed here, and their families receive a variety of welcome guides informing them about the location and its facilities. There are also travel guides for the closer and further region and finally information books about Germany and the Germans. For German employees the period of occupation already meant a change, as they had to learn a foreign language within a very short time. The new exhibition "HANDSHAKE" demonstrates how both sides approach and meet each other. The exhibition can be visited on the DCR premises (Schernauer Straße 46) in Ramstein until November 27, daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (except Mondays). Free admission!
