Ramstein Funfair
The traditional Ramstein funfair is hosted on the third weekend in September each year. Ramstein’s market square turns into a big fairground. The funfair features fun rides and booths offering candies, as well as food, beverages, and musical entertainment. Amusement rides open from 6 p.m. on Friday. At 8 p.m. the youngsters of the town – the “Ramstein Straußjugend” - meet at the fairground to start the fair with a joyful get-together for the first mug of beer. The mayor of Ramstein, Ralf Hechler, will officially open the fair by tapping the beer keg at 7 p.m. on Saturday. A fireworks display is scheduled for 9.45 p.m. On Sunday the traditional raising of the fair pole takes place in front of the Ramstein museum (address: Miesenbacher Strasse 1) at 3 p.m. The fairground opens at 2 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday. The family day on Tuesday features special discounts. The festival ends with the “funeral procession” by the “Ramstein Straußjugend” on Tuesday at 8.30 p.m.

European Farmers’ Market in Konken
Experience a true taste of Europe in the village of Konken which is just a 20-minute drive from the KMC. Following the huge success of last year’s event, organizers are expecting over 50,000 visitors for a weekend full of authentic European flair. More than 100 vendors from across Europe will showcase local and regional specialties, including game, fish, cheese, fruits, juices, beer, and much more. In addition to local farmers, you’ll find exhibitors from Finland, Poland, Hungary, Italy, and France, offering traditional products and culinary delights unique to their countries. The market also features live music, artisan demonstrations such as pottery, basket weaving, and rope making, and farm animals like cows, chickens, goats, and sheep. The children’s paradise offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for kids of all ages. And don’t miss the giant corn maze, one of the absolute highlights of the weekend! Opening hours of the market are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The municipality is looking forward to seeing you at this year’s European Farmers' Market in Konken!

Guided Tour of Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery in English
The guided tour of the Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery, including the old Jewish Cemetery, gives an insight into Kaiserslautern's cemetery culture and history. The round tour leads to splendid tombstones and important public figures in Kaiserslautern's town history. Male visitors are asked to bring some headwear. The tour will take place even in light rain. If the weather conditions are too bad, the tour will be cancelled. The tour starts at 2 p.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting point for the tour is at the Kaiserslautern Main Cemetery at the blessing hall next to the main entrance. Participation fee is € 7 for adults; the reduced fee is € 6. Guided City Tour of Ramstein in English
Explore the town center of Ramstein and hear about the historic development of the former farming village into a modern and international city. You will get to see traces of the past and the oldest buildings in town. Besides that, the tour provides lots of information about present urban development and leisure activities. The event is family-friendly and free of charge! Please wear comfortable shoes and be up to explore the city walking. A cool drink and snack will be offered at the end of the tour. The “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz” state program is the sponsor of the tour. It will be carried out by the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information center of the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach.
