Guided City Tour of Ramstein in English
Explore the town center of Ramstein and hear about the historic development of the former farming village into a modern and international city. You will get to see traces of the past and the oldest buildings in town. Besides that, the tour provides lots of information about present urban development and leisure activities. The event is family-friendly and free of charge! Please wear comfortable shoes and be up to explore the city walking. As a goody a cool drink and a little snack will be offered at the end of the tour at the restaurant “Die Bühne”. Round off the afternoon and have a chat with your fellow participants and some locals.
The “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz” state program is the sponsor of the tour. It will be carried out by the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information center of the City of Ramstein-Miesenbach. Teenager Clothing Bazaar in Ramstein
The traditional clothing bazaar is held at the Ramstein “Mehrgenerationenhaus” from 9.30 a.m. until noon. Second-hand clothing for children and teenagers from 10 years (starting with German clothing size 140) as well as shoes, accessories, toys and games are sold. Those interested in being a vendor, please contact the “Mehrgenerationenhaus” to sign up. Spots are limited and fill up quickly! You pay € 10 for one table. Farmers` Market in Schneckenhausen
Strolling through the village center of Schneckenhausen, you can get yourself acquainted with a wide variety of products which mainly come from the local area. The farmers` market takes place on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. More than 70 vendors and farmers provide a large selection of regional products such as farm-baked bread, vegetables, fruits, herbs, pumpkins, cheese, honey, juices, marmalades, sausage variations and much more. Visitors can also purchase decoration items, flowers, wool products, jewelry and pottery. Kids will enjoy watching the animals that are present throughout the market. Convince yourself of the taste of culinary dishes and home-baked cakes. Free admission!

“Time Travel” – English Tour in Otterberg
Get on the rustic, horse-drawn covered wagon, and travel back in time through the city of Otterberg. The tour combines tradition and modern age. With virtual reality glasses you immerse yourself in days gone by: from the time of the monastery in 1254 to the Walloon town in 1615. Imagine the wind in your face, feel the jerking of the wagon, hear the clattering of the horses' hooves, and feel completely transported back to the past. After the carriage ride, a visit to the stately Otterberg Abbey Church awaits you as part of an English guided tour. Here you learn about the exciting history of the church, and you experience the incomparable atmosphere, live, no longer virtually but the real present-day occurrences. The “Time Travel” tour starts at 2.30 p.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Desired dates for a group of 10 people or more can be arranged upon request.
