Friday, November 4 - Sunday, November 6:

November Market in Pirmasens

The November market features a huge wine tent located at the Schlossplatz where live musical entertainment is offered on three days. Inside the heated tent, Palatinate vintners and a local restaurant in cooperation with WASGAU serve quality wines and seasonal dishes. Different booths along the market square offer culinary delicacies and beverages. Children as well as adults are invited to enjoy fairground rides such as the Ferris wheel or the carousel. Vendors present gift and decoration items, herbs, candies etc. The market opens from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The tent opens on Friday from 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. Stores in Pirmasens are open for Sunday shopping from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, November 5:

English Guided Tour in Kaiserslautern

The Tourist Information Kaiserslautern offers a guided tour through the Count Palatinate Hall with the subterranean tunnels. The tour will take you to the history and culture of the ancient times of “K-town”. It starts with a visit of the Count Palatinate Hall of the former Casimir Castle, where official receptions of the city are held today. Afterwards you descend to the subterranean tunnels. These passages are approx. 70 meters long. The tunnels are equipped with illuminated boards and sound effects illustrating the history of Kaiserslautern. The tour starts at 11.15 a.m. and takes approx. 1.5 hours. Meeting Point for the tour is the Tourist Information (Address: Fruchthallstrasse 14, 67655 Kaiserslautern). Participation fee is € 5 for adults, the reduced fee is € 4. Prior registration is required. 30th Arts and Crafts Market in Weilerbach

The “Treff kreativer Bürger“ (Club of Creative Citizens) cordially invites you to its 30th exhibition on the first November weekend at the Bürgerhaus in Weilerbach. A wide variety of workmanship is presented: paintings, chairs with creative ornaments, sculptures of bronze, wood or steel, ceramics, knitted and crocheted objects, fretwork, floral ornaments, woodturning, mosaic works, fashion jewelry, precious projects of silk or fabric, doll dresses and more. Coffee and cake are available. The market is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The organizers are looking forward to seeing you.

Sunday, November 6:

Musical Maniacs at Ramstein Congress Center

“Musical Maniacs” is a show by Creative Musical Project and presents songs from musicals of the early years as well as highlights of current productions. The audience can look forward to pieces from "MY FAIR LADY", "WEST SIDE STORY", "GHOST", "AIDA", "POPE JOAN" and many others. Since 2017 the Creative Musical Project has united five professionals from the music scene: The artists Kathrin Yarizell Lothschütz, Suzanne Dowaliby and Manuel Lothschütz will be accompanied by Matthias Stoffel on the grand piano and Christine Rutz on the cello. They all live in the Kusel region, they love the musical genre and learned to appreciate each other at the very beginning. The show starts at 5 p.m. Tickets cost € 12. Saturday, November 5:

Used cloths collection in Ramstein

To organize and finance the annual Ramstein Carnival Parade the carnival association “Bruchkatze Ramstein” will conduct a used cloths collection in the town center of Ramstein. Items that will be collected are women‘s, men‘s and children‘s clothing, textiles and shoes (tied together in pairs). The following items will not be accepted: Mattresses, carpets, linen, blankets, pillows, curtains, plush toys, residual waste, and green waste. Please put everything in sealed plastic bags and protect the bags against moisture - the collection will take place in all weathers! To make sure that the plastic bag is meant for the collection, please pin a note to the bag stating: “Used cloths Bruchkatzen”. The collection starts at 9 a.m. Just place your bags on the sidewalk in front of your house or apartment between 8 and 9 a.m. that Saturday. If you put out your bags to early, they might be picked up by any commercial organization. The collection just takes place in the town center of Ramstein, but not in the district Miesenbach. You can also bring the bags with your used cloths straight to the hangar at the gardening department of the city (address: Talstrasse 43, 66877 Ramstein) until 11.30 a.m. on that day. The “Bruchkatze” carnival association conducts used cloths collections on a regular basis.
