Torch Run in Rodenbach
The sports club “Turnverein 1965 e.V. Rodenbach” hosts the popular running event. Start and end point is the Rodenbach sports hall. 3 runs of different lengths are provided for several age groups:
Bambini Run with a length of 400 meters starting at 5:30 p.m. is offered for participants born in 2019 and younger.
Student Run with a length of 1,100 meters starting at 5:40 p.m. is offered for runners born from 2012 until 2018.
Main Run with a length of 7 km starting at 6 p.m. is offered for participants born in 2012 and older.
Food and beverages as well as locker room and showers are available in the sports hall. Parking is recommended at the outdoor pool in Rodenbach (address: Sportstrasse 6, 67688 Rodenbach). Entry fee for adults with pre-registration is € 10. Entry fee for adults with late registration is € 11. Students up to 16 years only pay € 5. PINK FLOYD Tribute Band at Congress Center Ramstein
Like no other Pink Floyd tribute band, “The PINK FLOYD PROJECT” from St. Wendel in Saarland has been able to inspire its audience for more than 20 years with an authenticity and power that is second to none. The ensemble really doesn't need to shy away from comparisons with the giants of the tribute scene from England or Australia. Thanks to the musical class of the band members and a crystal clear, powerful sound, “THE PINK FLOYD PROJECT” creates precisely those strong and emotional effects for which the original is still celebrated today. Since 2003, the formation has been fascinating audiences with its three-hour repertoire, which revives the success stories of David Gilmour, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and Roger Waters. DCR Exhibition: “Aufgeklappt und abgestempelt“ – Behind the Scenes
The special exhibition of the Docu Center Ramstein titled “Aufgeklappt und abgestempelt“ - Behind the Scenes will be on display until Sunday, November 10, 2024. Explore the history of US Americans and Germans in Rhineland-Palatinate with the DCR’s growing collection! For over 15 years, the DCR has inventoried around 4,000 objects and photos, including print media, photos, and three-dimensional artifacts. Each item is telling a different story, some reveal personal experiences, while others highlight political and global events. Standout pieces have captivated visitors and been requested by other museums. Many items, however, have remained in storage - until now. Join the DCR for a special exhibition where these hidden treasures are showcased. Plus, take part in a behind-the-scenes tour for a look at the DCR’s cataloging and inventorying process. The exhibiton can be visited on the DCR premises daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (except Mondays). Admission is free!
