Christmas Market in Hütschenhausen

The community of Hütschenhausen hosts a Christmas market called “Nikolausmarkt”. The market takes place on Saturday from 3 p.m. inside and outside the community center. The local clubs will cater for the visitors and offer hot and cold drinks as well as culinary delights. Inside the community center visitors can warm up and find some handcrafted gift ideas. The “Nikolaus” visits the market at 6 p.m. and distributes little surprises among children.

Saturday, December 9 – Sunday, December 10:

Ramstein Christmas Market

You and your family are cordially invited to Ramstein´s Christmas Market. The market is located in the city center. Various vendors offer Christmas decoration, arts and crafts, spices, delicious food and beverages, goodies and Glühwein (mulled wine). The fountain on Ramstein´s market square turns into the largest Advent wreath in the region. The opening hours of the Christmas market are Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Santa Claus visits the market at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The local kindergarten "Pinocchio" performs Christmas carols at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Further stage performances are provided by choirs and music groups.

Exhibition of Model Railroad Layout in Obermoschel

The model making club “Modellbaufreunde Obermoschel e.V.“ presents its large model railroad layout (H0 scale) on the first, second and third weekend in Advent. At the club house in Obermoschel diehard model railroad fans can visit an exhibition area of 200 sq m and will get their money's worth. Exhibition hours are on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is € 4 for adults and € 1 for children. Food and beverages are offered too. Christmas Event at the TIERART Wild Animal Sanctuary in Maßweiler

TIERART Wild Animal Sanctuary gives big cats, which were kept under inadequate conditions in zoos, circuses or in private captivity, a new, species-appropriate home. In addition, numerous native wild animals are cared for at TIERART. The 2nd weekend of Advent TIERART is hosting a special Christmas event. For this occasion, the animal shelter will be accessible for the public for free, and not as usually through a guided tour. Event hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the wild animals and stroll through the little Christmas market afterwards. Handcrafted gifts, mulled wine, craft beer, punch, freshly baked waffles, soup, chili con carne as well as homemade dog treats are available. Access for dogs is not allowed due to wildlife.
