Almond Blossom – Spring awakening in the Palatinate Region

In the Palatinate region spring traditionally begins with the almond blossom. From February 21 to April 6, the so-called Palatinate Almond Weeks once again invite visitors to experience the blossoming landscape, local cuisine, and a variety of events along the German Wine Route. Throughout the Almond Weeks, numerous restaurants offer special almond menus, complemented by regional wines. The almond blossom live-ticker, the newsletter, and the social media channels provide guests with regular updates on the blossom status and events. The Palatinate Almond Trail has a length of approx. 100 kilometers (62 miles) and invites you to hike through the blossoming landscape in seven stages. Shorter circular routes and easily accessible trails also make the almond blossom attractive for day visitors. Climate-friendly travel by bus and train is easily possible in many villages and towns. All details about events, almond menus, hikes, bike tours, accommodation offers, and the almond blossom live-ticker can be found on the official website: https://www.mandelbluete-pfalz.de/
